SPODE Bone China Tea Cup & Saucer (Dish/Bowl). 1819 Though listed by the Spode Museum Trust site as being 1817, further research by them has dated this piece at 1819. This particular design is unusual in that an English flower is set within an Imari border. There are hand painted botanicals on a bone china base with extensive gold trim over a cobalt blue backdrop in an Imari pattern.Dimensions in inches are approximate. 2 1/2 high Mark: SPODE 2789 in red. No cracks, repairs or hairlines. No wear to gold trim. Tiny blue dots in porcelain. SAUCER-A larger than usual saucer which with it's depth can be used as a small dish or bowl. Gold loss on inner ring. Scratch in finish of botanical at mid-center across stem. These matching pieces have beautifully executed botanicals in yellow and purple with a touch of coral.
