Vintage Burleigh Ware Blue Calico 14pc Teacup Trio Tea Set Cup Saucer Plate

  

Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful vintage fourteen piece teacup trio setting, made by Burleigh Ware of England in arguably their most desirable design, Blue Calico. This lovely set includes four teacups, four saucers, four side plates milk jug and sugar bowl, having a range of different back stamps from the factory. Condition is good used, with most pieces free from chips, cracks or repair.

One teacup has a very discrete and small hairline, with the others having some minor staining and crazing. Two saucers and two side plates have some crazing to the underside. Although the backstamps are different, the colour is fairly consistent throughout the set. All in all, a very lovely lot for the collection.

The plates and saucers have diameters of 17cm and 14.5cm respectively, with the cups standing 6.5cm tall having a diameter of 9cm at the rim. The milk jug stands 10cm tall with the sugar bowl being 6.5cm tall having a diameter of 12cm at the rim. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 2.5kgs.
